Why Auktia: list faster, bid fairer
Auktia is an online auction marketplace that does the slow parts for sellers (auction houses) and takes the surprises out for bidders. Sellers list an item by scanning a UPC, an Amazon ASIN or warehouse sticker, or a photo AI writes up, print QR labels as they go, and pay no per-bid fees. Bidders see the all-in price and get text reminders.
What Auktia does for sellers
- Thousands of buyers ready to bid. Thousands of auction buyers are lined up to bid on Auktia, so your first auction doesn't start from zero.
- Scan a barcode, the item writes itself. Point your phone at a UPC or EAN, or type an Amazon ASIN: title, stock photo, brand, category, details and retail price fill in.
- Amazon warehouse stickers too. Scan the X00 (FNSKU) sticker on a returns box and get the exact product, color and size.
- AI writes the rest. Snap a photo of anything without a barcode and AI drafts the title, category, description, condition notes and a starting estimate for you to check.
- Fast, and faster the second time. Every product scanned on Auktia is remembered, so the next one of the same item fills in instantly.
- Bring your catalog with you. Drop in a CSV, Excel file or liquidation manifest, or an export from HiBid, Auction Flex, AuctionMethod or BidWrangler.
- Labels that find the box. Print a QR item label as you scan, on a Bluetooth label printer, a Zebra or any printer, so the right item is easy to find at pickup and packing time.
- Shipping without the typing. Scan the shipping label with your phone and the carrier and tracking number fill in for the winner.
- Simple to run, no per-bid fees. Set up a timed auction in minutes, watch it close on a live board, and get paid by card straight to your own account.

What Auktia does for bidders
- The real price, before you bid. Every item can show its all-in price: winning bid, buyer's fee, sales tax and shipping, worked out on the live bid.
- Your bids stay in view. Items you're bidding on that close in the next day ride along on every page with their live clock and whether you're winning, so you never lose track of a close.
- Text reminders. Get a text when you're outbid and a few minutes before an item you want closes, if you're not winning it.
- A clock that's fair. A late bid adds time, so nobody wins on network speed, and a max bid bids for you up to your limit.

How Auktia compares to other auction sites
Listing. Many auction sites expect a typed listing for every item, or a separate scanning tool. On Auktia, scanning, photo write-ups and spreadsheet import are built into the same app that runs the auction.
Fees. Many platforms add per-bid or per-item fees on top of software, so a busy auction costs more to run. Auktia never charges by the bid or by the item: a flat monthly plan plus a share of the winning bids, or one capped fee for a single auction.
Price shown to bidders. On many sites the winning bid (the hammer price) is only the start of the bill. Auktia can show every item's all-in price, so winners aren't surprised by the invoice.
Getting paid. Winners pay their invoice on Auktia by card, straight to the seller's own Stripe account. Cash, check and other methods can be marked paid on the Invoices tab.
Labels and shipping. Print a QR label for each item while you list, and scan the shipping label to fill in the carrier and tracking number for the winner.
Questions people ask
Will my auction have bidders on Auktia?
Yes. Thousands of auction buyers are lined up to bid on Auktia, and every auction is listed on the site, in search and on the map of auctions near each bidder. Bidders who sign up get outbid and closing reminders by text, which keeps them coming back to your items.
How is Auktia different from other online auction sites?
Auktia builds the listing work into the auction: scan a UPC, an ASIN or an Amazon X00 sticker, or snap a photo for an AI write-up, and print a QR label as you go. Bidders see the all-in price, keep their bids in view on every page and get text reminders, and sellers never pay per-bid fees.
Can I bring my items over from another auction platform?
Yes. Auktia imports CSV and Excel files, liquidation manifests, and catalog exports from HiBid, Auction Flex, AuctionMethod and BidWrangler, with item numbers, titles, estimates, minimum prices (reserves), quantities and image links. Any auction exports back to CSV.
Does Auktia charge per-bid fees?
No, never, and no per-item fees either. Plans are a flat monthly fee plus a share of the winning bids. A bidding war on a $20 item costs the seller nothing extra.
What does Auktia cost a seller?
Rookie is $49.99 a month and 3% of the winning bids (hammer), Minor $99 and 2%, Major $149.99 and 1.5%. For a single auction, Pinch Hitter has no monthly fee and never costs more than $500. Details are in the pricing section of Sell on Auktia.
Is Auktia good for liquidation and Amazon returns?
Yes. It was built for them: scan the UPC or the X00 warehouse sticker on a returns box to get the exact product, color and size, tap a condition grade, and drop in a pallet manifest to turn every barcode on it into a finished item.
Can bidders see the total price before they bid?
Yes. Every item can show its all-in price: the current bid plus the buyer's fee (buyer's premium), sales tax and shipping. A toggle switches to the bid alone.
