Auktia featuresTrack Your Auction Bids, Wins and Payments in One Place
On Auktia, My bids is where you track your auction bids. It shows your bidder number (paddle number) and everything you're in, grouped as Needs you now, Winning, Watching, Just closed and Won. What you owe sits at the top with a Pay button, next to receipts, tracking for shipped items (lots) and Your pickups with a route.
What does My bids show?
My bids is your home base as a bidder on Auktia. At the top is your bidder number, the number the seller (auction house) knows you by, and below it is everything you're in, sorted into groups so the items that need a decision come first.
What you owe sits above the groups with a Pay button, so a win never gets buried under a list of items you're still bidding on. The five groups are:
- Needs you now: items where you've been outbid, and anything waiting for you to pay.
- Winning: open items where you are the high bidder right now.
- Watching: the items you've saved with the bookmark on an item card or page.
- Just closed: items you were in whose clocks have just run out, so you can see how they ended.
- Won: the items you've won, with what you owe on them at the top of the page.
How do I track my auction bids on Auktia?
Checking My bids takes a minute and works the same on a phone or a computer. This routine keeps you from missing an item or a payment.
- Sign in with the one-time code sent to your email, or with Google. There's no password to remember.
- Open My bids. Your bidder number is at the top, with anything you owe and a Pay button.
- Start with Needs you now. If you've been outbid, open the item and decide whether to raise your max bid or let it go.
- Look over Winning and Watching to see where you stand on the items that are still open, each with its clock.
- After an auction ends, check Just closed and Won, then tap Pay to settle what you owe.
- Keep your receipt, then follow the tracking for shipped items or open Your pickups for items you'll collect.
Why is an item under Needs you now?
Two things put an item there: someone outbid you, or there's something to pay. Auktia also tells you the moment you're outbid, on screen wherever you are on the site, and you can add device alerts or text alerts so you hear about it when you're away from the screen. The outbid alerts page shows how to switch those on.
Paying promptly matters. Unpaid wins pause your bidding, and a new bidder can have up to $2,500 of max bids on items they lead plus unpaid wins at once, until they've paid an invoice. Settings → Bidding shows how much of that is in use, so you know how much room you have before a big auction.
How do I pay, get receipts and see tracking?
Once an auction closes, winners pay invoices on Auktia by card, or by bank (ACH) where the seller offers it, and the money goes straight to the seller. Some sellers also take cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal or wire, as each auction lists, and cash-at-pickup auctions are paid when you collect. The guide to paying for auction items walks through the options.
What you owe matches the breakdown you saw on the item page before you bid. A $100 winning bid (hammer price) with an 18% buyer's fee (buyer's premium), 8.25% sales tax and $15 shipping comes to $142.74: $100 + $18 + $9.74 + $15. Tax is charged on the winning bid plus the buyer's fee, not on shipping.
If your win ships, choose Ship here or Use another address on My bids, and tick Save as my address for next time if you like. Tracking appears on My bids once the seller marks the item shipped, and your receipts stay there too.
How does Your pickups plan the drive?
Items you collect in person go to Your pickups on My bids. It lists each day's stops, shows which are paid and which aren't, and gives you a route, so a Saturday with wins from several auctions becomes one planned drive instead of a pile of addresses.
Pickup times, the address and the remove-by date are on each auction page. To see which other auctions are picking up on the same day, before or after you bid, use the Pickup planner.
Questions people ask
Does it cost anything to use My bids?
No. Bidders pay Auktia nothing. You pay only for what you win, at the total shown on each item page, and that money goes to the seller.
Can I check My bids on my phone?
Yes. Auktia runs in your phone's browser and installs like an app with no app store, with the same account on every device. On iPhone, add it to the Home Screen and open it from the icon to get device alerts.
Why can't I bid even though I have a card on file?
Unpaid wins pause bidding, and new bidders have a $2,500 limit until they've paid an invoice. Check Needs you now for anything to pay, and Settings → Bidding for how much of your limit is in use.
Where do I see what I've won?
Under Won on My bids. What you owe sits at the top with Pay, and your receipts and tracking for shipped items are on My bids too.
What if a lot I won isn't as described?
Items are sold as is, but if one arrives materially different from its description, tell the seller and Auktia within 7 days. The seller resolves it and Auktia helps.
