Auktia featuresAuction Pickup Planner: Plan a Day of Auction Pickups
Auktia's Pickup planner, at auktia.com/pickups, shows every auction picking up on a given day within the distance you'll drive. Share your location or enter a ZIP, set how far you'll go, and tap a day to see auctions in pickup-time order, then open Route in Google Maps. After you win, My bids lists your pickups.
What is an auction pickup planner?
Most regional auctions are pickup only, and each sale has its own pickup times, address and remove-by date. Win at a few sales and you have several windows to juggle across town.
Auktia's Pickup planner puts them on one screen. Pick a day and a radius, and it lists every auction picking up that day within range, in pickup-time order, with a route in Google Maps. It lives at auktia.com/pickups, linked in the footer and from Near me.
How do I plan an auction pickup day?
The planner works before you bid, to see which auctions fit a free day, and after you win, to plan the drive.
- Open the Pickup planner from the footer of any page, or from Near me.
- Share your location, or enter a ZIP.
- Set how far you'll drive.
- Tap a day. Every auction picking up that day in range is listed in pickup-time order.
- Tap Route in Google Maps to lay out the drive.
- After you win, open My bids → Your pickups to see each day's stops, what's paid, and the route.
Where do my own pickups show after I win?
Once you've won, My bids has a Your pickups section. It shows each day's stops, which ones are paid and which aren't, and a route for the day, so you can see at a glance whether anything still needs paying before you leave.
Most winners pay on Auktia by card once the auction closes, straight to the seller (auction house). Some auctions are cash at pickup: you see the item and pay there by whatever the auction lists, such as cash, card, check, Venmo or Zelle. A stop showing as unpaid is your cue to check which kind of auction it is.
How do auction houses get their auctions into the planner?
Sellers add pickup days in Auction settings → Auction details → Pickup days → + Add a pickup day, with the date and times, plus Pickup notes for anything else, then Save. The auction then shows in the Pickup planner on those days, and the pickup and remove-by details show on the auction page.
For a seller, that means bidders planning a route can find its auction on the day they're already driving. More on setting this up: pickup days.
What are good tips for planning an auction pickup day?
A little planning turns a scramble across town into one tidy loop.
- Check the plan before you bid. Pickup items (lots) show distance from you, and the planner shows what else picks up that day, so you can tell whether a big win is worth the trip.
- Start with the earliest window. The list is in pickup-time order, so build the route around the stops with the tightest times.
- Read each auction page for the address, pickup times, remove-by date and any Pickup notes from the seller.
- Pay ahead where you can, and bring the payment method a cash-at-pickup auction lists.
- Bring the right vehicle, help for heavy items, and straps and blankets. The pickup checklist covers the rest.
- Install Auktia on your phone so My bids and the route are a tap away in the parking lot.
Questions people ask
Is the Pickup planner free?
Yes. Bidders pay Auktia nothing. Open it at auktia.com/pickups, from the footer or from Near me.
Do I need to have won something to use the planner?
No. It lists every auction picking up on the day you choose within your range, so you can use it to decide which auctions to bid in. Your own stops show on My bids under Your pickups after you win.
Which auctions show up in the planner?
Auctions whose sellers have added pickup days. An auction shows in the planner on those days, within the distance you set from your location or ZIP.
What if I can't make a pickup time?
Contact the seller before the remove-by date. Its seller page lists its phone and email, and the auction page has the pickup details and notes.
Can I get my lots shipped instead?
Only if the auction ships. Each auction is pickup only, ships at a price shown on each item, or ships with one combined amount added after the auction. Cash-at-pickup auctions can't ship.
